Immersiva completes migration to .NET 10, Microsoft's latest LTS release

Milan, June 8, 2026 – Immersiva has completed the migration of its platform to .NET 10, Microsoft's latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release. The platform is now faster and lighter on resources, with support guaranteed through November 2028.

What .NET 10 brings

.NET 10 is the successor to .NET 9 and, as a Long-Term Support release, carries three years of official Microsoft support. Most of the work in this version sits in the runtime, the layer that decides how application code is compiled and executed.

Several of those changes affect performance directly. The just-in-time compiler produces more efficient machine code, and more method calls are resolved and optimized while the application runs. A larger share of short-lived data now stays on the stack instead of being allocated on the heap, which reduces memory pressure under load.

The release also extends cryptography support and ships current security protocols inside the runtime rather than layered on afterwards. Alongside this, .NET 10 expands support for AI and agent-based development, giving the platform a maintained foundation to build on as those capabilities become part of digital experiences.
